West Point Visiting Information
| This 96 mile loop will take you south enjoying such roads as Storm King Highway, which runs along the cliffs of the Hudson River. Passing West Point, you'll ride through Bear Mountain State Park (see Perkins Memorial Drive route for how to get to top of summit - incredible views for over 20 miles) and Harriman State Park. Beautiful scenery and tree lined for great shady riding on a hot day. Taking twisting road 106 West out of the park and up over the mountain will bring you to Greenwood Lake, NY. (Emeralds is a popular restaurant among bikers). Up and over Mount Peter will bring you into Warwick, NY which is a quaint town for shopping and eating. Scenic back roads will then bring you back to Newburgh. Minimum of 3 hours riding time.
